Membership Agreement

By enrolling as a member, you enter into an agreement with Lexden Wood Ltd committing to adhere to the club's rules and guidelines.

Membership Categories

We offer various membership options to suit different needs. Details are available upon request.

Student membership: applicants must provide a valid student ID number and register their membership using their institutional (university or college) email address. Proof of full-time study may be requested and student status must be maintained for the membership year.

Membership Fees

Payment Structure: Membership fees are charged per membership year. Unlimited memberships (Diamond and Joint) and concession memberships may be paid either in full for the year or over twelve monthly payments on a 12-month agreement. Points memberships are paid in full at the start of the membership year. Both prices and both annual totals are published on the membership packages page, and the in-full price carries a 13% discount against the total of twelve monthly payments.

Paying over twelve monthly payments (Unlimited and concession memberships):

• The monthly option is a 12-month agreement covering one membership year. It commits you to all twelve payments; it is not a rolling arrangement you can stop part-way through.
• Twelve equal payments, collected by Direct Debit on the 1st of each month.
• The England Golf affiliation fee is spread across the same twelve payments at £2.50 per member per month.
• Any joining fee is payable before the membership commences and is not included in the monthly payments.
• The agreement is with Lexden Wood Ltd. It is not a credit or finance agreement with a third party, and no interest is charged.
• We confirm the payment amount and the collection dates in writing before the first payment is taken, and give advance notice of any change to either.
• If a payment is missed we will contact you to arrange it. If the arrears are not cleared, the club may suspend access to member facilities until the account is up to date.
• Cancelling the Direct Debit does not end the membership or the agreement. The balance of the membership year remains payable (see Termination of Membership).
• A Junior membership paid monthly must be taken out and paid by a parent or guardian, who is responsible for the twelve payments.

Non-Refundable Policy: Once paid, membership fees are non-refundable and non-transferable. This applies equally to payments already collected under a monthly agreement.

Joining Fee: New memberships are subject to a joining fee payable prior to the membership commencing. The joining fee amount is discretionary and subject to change each year.

Rejoining, special offer: as a special offer, members who left Lexden Wood between 2022 and 2025 may rejoin with no joining fee of any kind. Renewing members are not charged a joining fee. This special offer is discretionary and may be amended or withdrawn at any time.

Affiliation Fee: In addition to the membership annual fees, members must pay an affiliation fee to cover the cost of member/course affiliation with MyEnglandGolf or similar governing body.

Membership Benefits

Members enjoy access to our facilities, including The Club Kitchen, golf course, and grass practice areas. Additional benefits may include discounts on services and participation in exclusive events.

Code of Conduct

Member Responsibilities: Members are expected to uphold the club's standards by demonstrating respect and integrity.

Guest Policy: Members are accountable for the conduct of their guests while on club premises.

Inclusivity and Respect: The club is committed to fostering an inclusive and welcoming environment for all. Discrimination, harassment, or inappropriate behavior based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or any other protected characteristic will not be tolerated.

Sexual Harassment Policy: The club maintains a strict zero-tolerance policy for sexual harassment. Unwelcome sexual advances or other verbal or physical conduct of a sexual nature that creates an intimidating, hostile, or offensive environment will result in disciplinary action, including potential termination of membership.

Facility Usage

Operating Hours: Access to facilities is subject to operational hours, which may vary seasonally.

Course Maintenance: Occasional closures for maintenance or events may occur; members will be notified in advance.

Liability Disclaimer

The club is not responsible for personal injuries or loss/damage to personal property on its premises.

Amendments to Terms

The club reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions. Members will be informed of significant changes.

Termination of Membership

By the Member: Members may terminate their membership by providing written notice; however, fees remain non-refundable.

By the Club: The club may revoke membership for violations of rules or conduct detrimental to the club's reputation.

Communication

Members agree to receive communications regarding club updates, events, and changes to terms.
